Poem Shore’s Purpose
The Heart of a Poem
To enlighten, to share, to explain, or explore
A poem’s purpose is plain, but extravagant and more
A poem puts in words what you heart’s always felt
A poem vents frustration with the cards you’ve been dealt
A poem can inspire to laugh or to cry
A poem can give answers when the question is “Why?”
To discover, to wonder, to marvel, and learn
A poem is what makes the spark of hope burn
Transaction (A Haiku)
We all have feelings
Not everyone can write them
I help for a fee
Choose Your Style
Poems can rhyme, and like wine, can get better with time
Poems can exist just be contrarian
Poems can be scribbled with exuberant prose and frolic in the fields of wordlplay
Any genre, any style, Poem Shore’s worth your while
The worth of a word
A smile.
A dissected sun reveals the source of it’s shine, it’s warmth, it’s life giving rays. A smile.
A teardrop.
Oceans recede as teardrops are dried exposing long forgotten memories nestled in their beds on the floor. A teardrop.
A flutter.
Leaves dance in the air in a ballet of gusts and romance. The same way a heart does. A flutter.
Worth.
Small, inconsequential. Big, commodious. Rain, torrential. Dry, anhydrous. Short or long, words have worth.
Endless Possibilities
A gift for a lover that makes your heart glow
A letter of resignation to soften the blow
A laugh to lift spirits when the spirits are down
A line on a t-shirt to wear about town
Thank You
I’ve had this idea whispering hope for a spell
Now the whisper has grown to a thunderous yell
These booming thoughts echo and strain to be heard
So no matter how strange, or how weird or absurd
The idea must transform to a corporeal state
It must manifest before it’s too late
So join me in hand, for adventure’s in store
I thank you, I love you, for supporting Poem Shore
